Topic: Data Governance in a Big Data World Conventional data governance focuses on controlling risk, maintaining data quality, and driving consensus on data. The result — long waits for business analysts and data scientists who need fast access to data that did not know they wanted only a few moments before. The solution to this conflict requires viewing data governance functions less like a command and control center, and more like a library, identifying what data is available and appropriate for those requesting it.
