Please join EMC and Carahsoft at the EMC Federal Summit, an event focused on cybersecurity, Big Data, Federal Enterprise hybrid cloud, and data protection – November 18 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C.

Federal IT is at a crossroad. Hacks in the headlines. Cloud Conundrums. Digital Services on deck. FITARA on the frontlines. We have new opportunities to increase efficiency and improve IT service delivery.

Attendees will hear from government leaders and experts on:

  • IT transformation in the real world
  • Stopping advanced threats and providing intrusion alerts
  • How to manage the data in Big Data analytics
  • Is a software defined data center right for your agency?

To kick off, we’ll hear from Ann Dunkin, P.E., CIO, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, discussing the EPA’s approach to IT transformation – and the change in the air around how we build, buy, and run IT in the Federal government.

A government visionary panel will examine the different flavors of cloud computing and discuss the potential advantages offered by a hybrid cloud model that provides flexibility, efficiency, and security. The panel consists of Jim Tunnessen, CTO, Food Safety and Inspection Service, USDA, Dr. Michaela Iorga, Sr. Technical Lead for Cloud Computing, Computer Security Division, NIST, and Stan Kaczmarczyk, Director, Cloud Computing PMO, GSA.

If you haven’t already, make sure you register today. Hope to see you next week.
